Intro
What the heck is Fintiki?
Fintiki is a blend of the tropical tiki culture and Jimmy Buffett "Parrothead" lifestyle. For those of you uninitiated Parrotheads, our tiki logo is giving the "Fins Up" gesture, which
can be interpretted equally as a greeting, an invitation to join in
on a sing-along, or a request or offering of a frosty libation.
But wait...I've been to your site before. Didn't it have something to do with the Miami Dolphins and tailgating?
Well, yes...but the Dolphins are having a disappointing season (again), so we're distancing ourselves a bit for the moment. We still love the Dolphins, but we see no need to sit in a parking lot and complain about a lousy team, even if it is with really good friends. Besides, there's plenty of tailgating in the Parrothead community - And as a bonus, Jimmy's part owner of the Miami Dolphins at beautiful Landshark Stadium. Talk about providence!

On the not-so-weird side, but just as amazing, our friend Joe Cahn, the Commissioner of Tailgating chronicles his travels.

Or: Rantings and Phrightening Trivia from a Jimmy Buffett PHanatic!
Whew!
Brrrrr...I really hate coming out of hibernation and having to deal with all the clutter, dust, and residual chill!
Greetings and salutations phellow Parrotheads! It must be the beginning of the new year because Jimmy just wound up the lastest tour in Florida and in the same breath announced the start of a new tour in Florida as well!
So much has happened since my last entry. Firstly, let me thank everyone again for voting me Parrothead of the Year! It is an honor I truly feel blessed to receive. Secondly, the news column in the monthly paper has taken off and is cruising right along (many thanks to Sarah for taking that task on). Thirdly, SBPHC is apparently the 5th largest club in the Country! Kudos to all of you! And lastly - There is an April 28th Buffett show coming up and we have a lot of prepping to do for it.
Yvonne has sent in two entries already for the MOTM logo and they look great! We have this goal set to sweep every major award at MOTM! Golden Coconut, Hat Contest, Logo Contest, Club Paper and highest Silent Auction bid!
This brings me to my largest challenge to date! I finally completed a project that I started three years agothat I plan to auction off at MOTM. It was a tad more involved than I anticipated at first. But seeing its completion really gives me a sense of fullfillment. I would like to unveil it at the club Birthday Party, but I'm a little worried about breakage. It is very large - and costly!
Anyway, there is a lot of ongoing projects and really exciting and fun times in store for us all this year.
Be sure to book your MOTM rooms early as the best seem to go quickly! Yvonne and I look forward to a lot of phlocking, a lot of beach days at South Lido, and a whole lot of Team Drinks!
See ya soon,
Finchef
Huligirl's Haven
Where Huligirl can go to be VonNdaSun
There's no doubt that Parrotheads are a great group of people and lots of fun to be around. But I also spend a lot of time indulging my other alter ego, VonNdaSun.
VonNdaSun (a.k.a. Von40mouse) can be found in the "simming" community, creating custom game content - lots of textures and some sims for The Sims 2, now branching out into The Sims 3. These items have been downloaded tens of thousands of times for use in Sims games all over the world, and more items are added to be downloaded all the time.
Check out my gallery on Photobucket to see what I spend so much time doing, or stay tuned for my blog where I'll be offering my creations for easy one-stop-downloading convenience. See below for some of the items I will be offering soon.
